Who we are
eSync is a retail data synchronization and analytics service operated by The Apps Galore ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we handle when you use eSync at esync.theappsgalore.com, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, write to us at info@theappsgalore.com.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your name, email address and company details when an account is created for you. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, so we never see or store them in plain text.
- Point-of-sale data. When you connect your POS (such as Lightspeed Retail), we import the business data needed to provide the service: sales transactions, payments, products, inventory, registers, cashiers, customers and outlets. This is your business's operational data, imported on your instruction.
- Supplier invoice data. If you use our purchasing tools, the supplier invoices you capture are stored so they can be resolved into purchase orders.
- Billing information. Subscription payments are processed by our payment providers, Paddle and Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. We keep only the records the payment provider gives us (such as payment status and receipt references) and the invoices we issue.
- Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) and the session cookies needed to keep you signed in.
How we use it
- To provide the service: synchronizing your data, generating analytics, invoices and reports.
- To operate your account: authentication, permissions, support and service notifications.
- To bill you for enrolled stores and maintain accurate payment records.
- To keep the service secure and diagnose problems.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your business data for advertising. Your sales and purchasing data is used solely to provide the service to you.
Who we share it with
- Your POS provider. We exchange data with the POS platform you connect (e.g. Lightspeed) through their official APIs, on your authorization.
- Our payment providers, Paddle and Stripe, for subscription and payment processing, subject to their own privacy policies.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the service's data on our behalf.
We share data with no one else, except where the law requires it.
Cookies
eSync uses only the cookies required to run the service: a session cookie to keep you signed in and a security (CSRF) token. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active, since historical transactions are the basis of your analytics and audit trails. If your account is closed, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons (such as issued invoices).
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, access within your workspace is controlled by roles and permissions, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your business data with the same rigor we'd expect for our own.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, export it, or delete it (subject to the legal retention noted above). Email info@theappsgalore.com and we'll respond promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll notify account owners by email.
